William F. Reynolds, Jr.

Bill Reynolds is a founding partner of Blackthorn Law Group, LLP. Mr. Reynolds has an extensive background handling corporate transactions and advising corporations on operations. His experience includes all aspects of start-ups, private placements, venture capital investments, loan transactions, mergers and acquisitions, business alliances, supply and distribution agreements, marketing and co-branding arrangements, and many other commercial arrangements.
He has worked with companies in a wide variety of industries, including technology, software, publishing, hospitality, food production, professional services, agri-chemical, steel, insurance, healthcare, and life sciences. Prior to co-founding Blackthorn, Mr. Reynolds worked for several years as a corporate attorney at DLA Piper and Akin Gump. Mr. Reynolds holds a B.S. in psychology from the University of Iowa (1987), an M.A. and a Ph.D. in psychology from Harvard University (1990, 1992), and a J.D. from Harvard Law School (1995). He has served as adjunct faculty at Georgetown Business School and Harvard University.
Mr. Reynolds is admitted to the practice of law in the District of Columbia, the State of New York, and the State of Tennessee.

Kevin J. Joyce

Kevin Joyce is a founding partner of Blackthorn Law Group, LLP. Mr. Joyce has represented a wide variety of clients, from early stage to public companies, in such areas as private offerings of equity and debt securities, negotiation of credit facilities and bridge financing, mergers and acquisitions of public and private companies, securities law compliance, and general corporate representation. Mr. Joyce has also represented senior and mezzanine lenders as well as equity investors on similar transactions. Prior to co-founding Blackthorn, Mr. Joyce worked for several years as a corporate attorney at DLA Piper.

He has also served as a business consultant to major hospitals and health systems across the United States. Mr. Joyce holds an A.B. from Princeton University (1996), where he completed degree requirements in the Department of Geology and Geophysics as well as the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. Mr. Joyce received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law (2000), where he served as an Editor of the Virginia Law Review.   Mr. Joyce is admitted to the practice of law in the Commonwealth of Virginia, the District of Columbia, and the State of Oregon.

Eileen M. Gorman

Eileen Gorman is a partner of Blackthorn Law Group, LLP. Ms. Gorman has experience representing clients from early stage to public companies in connection with a variety of business and finance transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, subordinated debt financings, private equity investments, and general corporate matters. She has advised entrepreneurs, executive officers, boards of directors, equity holders and strategic investors on issues relating to corporate governance, employment matters, financings, and related transactional matters.

Prior to joining Blackthorn, Ms. Gorman worked as a corporate attorney in the D.C. offices of DLA Piper and Sheppard Mullin. Prior to practicing law, Ms. Gorman served as a Captain in the U.S. Army. Ms. Gorman holds a B.A. in Human Biology from Stanford University (1995). She received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, where she served as the Managing Editor of the Georgetown Journal of Legal Ethics.

Ms. Gorman is admitted to the practice of law in the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Virginia, and the State of Maryland.
